This award honors the memory of Ed Marcinkiewicz, former Texas A&M Assistant Coach and M-F Athletic Representative, whose dedication to the sport of track and field at all levels transcended the sport itself. Ed’s warm heart had a positive impact on everyone he met in every community he visited. This award will honor the coach who goes beyond the track and/or the field to serve the community.

The Coach Ed Marcinkiewicz Awards are presented annually to the top male and female cross country runners in Austin County. The winners’ names appear on the plaque which travels among the three schools based on the winners.
